1. The one where you’ve had too many
No one wants to see you – or your bridesmaids – indulge a little too much, no matter the nerves or excitement. Take a deep breath and keep your head firmly screwed on, smiles to the camera.
2. The one where your husband walks off alone for a selfie
Yes, you’re in that selfie, but do you really want to share attention with a little slice of metal? And be reminded of it in years to come? We didn’t think so! So, tell the groom to put his phone away.
3. The one where you fan out on the ground
It may look great in photoshoots – when the dresses are being returned, and when an eager assistant is standing by to hand you a mug of warm tea – but the reality of shots like these far exceed their potential to make you smile in the future.
4. The one where someone flips their lid
Weddings are stressful times, for all concerned, and tempers are bound to flare up. But they don’t need to be caught on camera! Steer your photographer away from the heat and get him to immortalise those parts of the day you truly want to recall.
5. The one of your drunk uncle
EVERY family has one of these. Yes, it’s the drunk uncle. Insisting on dancing with all the younger cousins, your dear Uncle Henry will not remember anything in the morning – but you don’t want to punish him either with an image highlighting his improprieties.
6. The one where your bridesmaid gets sick
Your best friend will definitely not thank you for recording this moment. It’s one we’d all rather forget and, there are some things which are just meant to be left private! So, no matter how funny this may seem in the moment, make sure these are firmly deleted.
