Stylish Wedding up-dos you can Do Yourself
You might need to practice a few times before attempting one of these hairstyles for a wedding, but that’s not to say they’re too difficult to do yourself. Here are some on-trend up-dos for the stylish wedding guest.
The Messy Low Bun

Twist the sides of your hair onto a low bun to create uneven, imperfect waves as seen on Kristen Bell. This will look great on coloured hair as it creates depth and texture.
The French braid

Perfect for medium length hair and rocked by Scarlett Johansson, start by backcombing a section of your hair at the top of your head to create volume. French braid your hair down the centre of your head without tightening the braid too much, until you reach the ends. Tuck the last piece of hair tied with a band underneath the braid to conceal it.
The high ponytail

Take a leaf out of Kate Beckinsale’s beauty book with a high ponytail, which we’ve seen her pull-off with perfection time and time again. Create volume in the front and have your hair tied in a very high ponytail at the back. Old-Hollywood waves will work especially well with this look, especially if you’re sporting lights or an ombre style.
The side-swept low bun

There are times when simplicity works best, such as this low, tight bun which Natalie Portman showed off at the Cannes Film Festival last year. It’s sophisticated, sleek and does the trick of keeping hair off your face beautifully.
The Topknot

There’s no hiding your face behind your hair with this on-trend style – and why would you? The trick here is to ensure that the topknot is placed squarely on top of your head, not too far back and neither too far front. Backcomb the hair to create volume, and pint and twist as you wish to create your desired look.
