Ever since she gave birth to their son Harry three years ago, rumours of a possible engagement between Ira and partner Sean were never far off. These rumours intensified in recent months when she was spotted wearing what many assumed to be an engagement ring, but the beloved singer never confirmed or denied the matter to the legions of loyal followers.
Now, in proper celebrity fashion, one of Malta’s favourite power couples has gone and surprised fans with a secret wedding ceremony over the weekend, and we’re still shook!
Both Ira and Sean posted the same stunning portrait of the happy couple on the stairs of Casino Maltese, decked in their wedding outfits and captioned sweetly:
“This was our happy moment. Family is most dear to us and we are overjoyed that they could share our special day with us. We spent the day with them and some friends. We couldn’t have asked for a lovelier day high on wonderful emotions,” Sean wrote.
While both thanked the people who helped set up their beautiful day, Sean also extended his gratitude to the chefs keeping them nourished throughout the day, writing: “thank you Corinthia Caterers for cooking up an amazing meal.”
Ira donned a beautifully structured, pristine white dress and interestingly opted out of wearing a veil, instead leaving her hair to cascade down her shoulders. Her bridesmaids, one of which was sister and model Jacqui, donned equally stunning minimal creations.
The couple seem to have opted for a mini-moon – a romantic overnight getaway at Radisson Golden Sands – with Sean heading back to work the following evening.
