Comedian Amy Schumer gave birth a baby boy with husband Chris Fischer on Sunday night, and took to Instagram to share the incredible news yesterday afternoon, around the same time that news broke of the royal baby’s birth across the pond.

“10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born,” Schumer wrote on Instagram, along with a heart-warming photo of the new family of three.

Just a few hours earlier, the new mother shared a hilarious post on Instagram of herself posing on the steps of the hospital, in a dig to the world-famous Met Gala that took place that same evening.

“Met look this year. Last night on the way to the hospital.”

Schumer has been vocal about her struggles with pregnancy the last nine months, during which she suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum – the same condition that Kate Middleton suffered from throughout her three pregnancies – which causes severe nausea and vomiting.

The star announced she was expecting at the end of October last year, and tied the knot with Chris Fischer in February of the same year with a surprise ceremony and celebration in Malibu.
