Think You’ve Seen an Extravagant Wedding? Take a Look at This One

Sheer extravagance was the order of the day at the Moscow nuptials of 20-year-old Khadija Uzhakhovs and Said Gutseriev, 28, son of oil and media tycoon Mikhail Gusteriev. The wedding took place last Saturday 26^th March, and was indeed a jaw-dropping, lavish affair, rumoured to have cost something in the vicinity of €1 billion.

The affair, held at the luxury banqueting venue Safisa in Moscow, which was covered in wall-to-wall fresh flowers, included a monstrous, nine-tier iced wedding cake and a crowd-pleasing entertainment line-up with performances by Jennifer Lopez, Sting and Enrique Iglesias.

The young bride donned a heavily embellished Elie Saab dress, reportedly imported directly from Paris, featuring a tight bodice, long sleeves and full skirt flowing in elegant folds to the floor, complete with a floor-length veil and bejewelled handbag. Dripping in diamonds, the sensational bride completed her look with a diamond-encrusted tiara, drop earrings and a large diamond pendant.
