The Essential Bridal Survival Kit
No matter what precautions you’ve taken, all sorts of little disasters can strike at your wedding. Make sure your of Maid of Honour or a trusted Bridesmaid keeps it handy, should the need arise!
Safety Pins
Had a little mishap with your dress? Is the ribbon holding your bouquet together unravelling? It’s nothing a box of safety pins can’t handle.
Sewing Kit
For slightly bigger alterations like tackling loose buttons or hooks, a sewing kit with handy pre-threaded needles will be just what the doctor ordered. And it’s always good to make sure you have at least one person who’s good with a needle and thread on hand, if you aren’t!
Scissors
If little scissors aren’t included in your sewing kit, make sure to pack a pair into your survival kit – they’re great for loose threads or troublesome tags.

First Aid Kit
A basic first aid kit with lots of plasters and blister sheets, as well as painkillers for achy feet and pounding heads the morning after is a must.
Double-Sided Tape
This is all-purpose saviour is to weddings what duct tape is to household maintenance – a miracle worker. You can use it on anything and everything that needs to be held together, including risqué bridesmaid dresses that have decided to go south.
Mints
These are a pre-ceremony essential. You don’t want to hear the words ‘You may kiss the bride’ without minty fresh breath, right?
Hairspray
A handbag-sized hairspray is a handy thing to have when it comes to keeping your hair coiffed to perfection, particularly if it’s a breezy day.
