Songstress Christabelle Borg and her hubby doctor and waterpolo player Jordan Camilleri, are celebrating their first wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot one year ago today at the gorgeous Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Paul in Mdina, followed by a reception at The Reef Club at The Westin Dragonara Resort.
Christabelle took to Instagram to share throwback photos of their big day in honour of their anniversary. “1 year of us,” she wrote, captioning a beautiful photo of the couple at the altar.
She also included a photo that captures the “happiest moment,” she says, which shows the newlyweds walking out of the church to flying confetti.
Christabelle and Jordan are currently on their honeymoon, precisely a year after they got married. They were in a long-distance relationship for a while during Jordan’s time playing for waterpolo club AS Roma. In May, she opened up about the struggles of a long-distance marriage, flying every fortnight to visit Jordan for just 36 hours.
The couple got engaged while on a surprise trip to the Big Apple that Christabelle planned for Jordan’s birthday. But Jordan had the biggest surprise of all, popping the question atop the Empire State Building! “I love you Jordan and I cannot wait to be your wife and for our next chapter,” she wrote in the post announcing their engagement. Time sure does fly!
