They’re being born into a world that is currently fighting a global pandemic they know nothing about, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need protection.
A hospital in Thailand is putting on specially-made baby face shields to help protect the little ones from the Coronavirus. Reportedly, the masks prevent any droplets containing the virus from coughs or sneezes from reaching the baby’s face.
BBC Thailand said that the face shields have been introduced to ensure “peace of mind” for new mothers at hospital. They said the visors aren’t meant to be worn at all hours as they will become unhygienic. They’re to be used for instances where parents and carers have no other options, such as taking the babies home from the hospital.
While a lot of the Coronavirus casualties worldwide have been related to older patients, babies are still at risk and this certainly helps the situation.
