What’s the one thing we all dread before travelling to far-flung places? Vaccinations, of course. Luckily, some countries, beyond Europe, don’t require jabs – but it’s always best to consult your GP or the Immunisation centre in Floriana to be 100 per cent certain you’re off the hook. Here are some of the countries.
1. Canada
Enjoy the lush green wilderness that Canada has to offer. While no major shots are required, you might want to take basic boosters, such as typhoid and hepatitis A, particularly if you’re backpacking.
2. The United States
Let’s hit the beach! The US has a fantastic array of beaches to choose from to soak up some sun, with zero jabs needed for your stay.
3. Paris
This perfect and obvious honeymoon choice is none other than the city of love. Since Paris, like Malta, is in Europe, no vaccinations need to be taken before your trip.
4. Switzerland
Travel through Switzerland’s mountains and experience the wonders of a toasty cabin in the woods without a worry in the world.
5. Australia
While Australia is far from being a third world country, the wilderness is vast and varied. Vaccinations aren’t mandatory, but you’d do well to take the basic booster injections before heading Down Under.
6. New Zealand
Get your passport ready, hop on a plane, and get ready to take in the stunning sights that New Zealand has to offer with no worries about jabs!
7. Mexico
It’s perfectly safe to head down to the vibrant place that is Mexico, without having to worry about injections. However, a tetanus booster shot is generally recommended, which you’d best confirm with your GP.
8. Cape Verde
Get ready to take in the exotic beaches, atmosphere and people of Cape Verde in Africa. And the great news is, you can do all this without heading into the doctor’s office!
