Last Sunday would have seen Philippa Cassar from The New Victorians get hitched to fiancee Julian Naudi, however like many other couples whose wedding had been planned for 2020, it too had to be postponed.
Referencing the day as the one they'd been counting down to for a year, Philippa said in a touching Facebook post that: "These past few weeks have definitely been one emotional rollercoaster." Although the couple wanted nothing more than to celebrate their new chapter in life with the special people around them, a dose of celebration was still had: "...today we couldn't have been more overwhelmed by the love and support we recieved. From doughnuts, to wine, to flowers, cards and letters, thank you all for the thoughts, love and support through all this. It obviously wasn't what we'd planned but hey...would we even be Ju & Phil if we had a normal wedding," Philippa joked.
Also sharing an adorable clip of herself and Julian singing together, Philippa said: "The silver lining of this surreal pandemic has been that its truly reminded us what really matters, and has taken our marriage right down to the essence of what it was always going to be about....the love between us. Plus we may never have gotten down to singing together had we not had a moody original-wedding-day rooftop jam. You can call us......The New Naudis (Almost. Loading...)" she continued.
What a beautiful and talented duo. All the best in your new journey!
