Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne this evening confirmed that IVF services at Mater Dei are among a number of medical services expected resume in the coming days.Furthermore, birthing partners of expectant mothers will now be permitted to join them in the delivery suit after this was prevented as a safety measure against spread of COVID-19.
Speaking during a press conference this evening alongside Prime Minister Robert Abela and Public Health Superintendent Prof. Charmaine Gauci, Minister Fearne also revealed that a number of medical clinics will resume operation, including general gynecology appointments and ultrasounds.
Furthermore, it was also revealed that childcare centres are among a number of establishments that are being considered for the next lift of measures planned.
