Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds recently welcomed their third daughter into the world, bringing down the tally to three children under six in their household. The new-born, whose name has not yet been revealed, is preceded by sisters James, 5, and Inez, 3, but both siblings have taken a vastly different approach to welcoming the new addition to the family.

Blake breached the topic during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon yesterday evening: “It’s a bit of a tough adjustment in our house, but it’s good,” she said, adding that while her oldest is very into the baby, Inez isn’t as enthusiastic.

The actress explains how she dealt with the situation: “I said to her, you know, you’re going to teach her everything she knows. You’ll get to teach her about cities, and the sky and flowers, and Santa Clause and Mickey Mouse, and anything you want,” she said.

Inez’s rebuttal is reminiscent of Friends favourite Rachel – played by Jennifer Aniston, with Blake revealing that her daughter’s reply to her explanation had been: “Oh, I didn’t love you before but now I do.”
