Ed Sheeran now has three ladies in his life to give him love!
On Thursday, the ‘Shape of You’ singer announced on Instagram that he and wife Cherry Seaborn welcomed their second baby together - another daughter.
"I want to let you all know we've had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her and over the moon to be a family of four," the singer wrote in a post, captioning a photo of the tiniest pair of white baby socks.
This means that Cherry and Ed have made their daughter Lyra a big sister!
The couple welcomed her into the world in August 2020, meaning that she is now about to turn two. At the time, they announced her birth with a sweet Instagram post.
"Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you ... last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter — Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran," Ed wrote.
"We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love, and I'll see you when it's time to come back,” he continued.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the musician admitted that since his baby girl was born, he finally has found a purpose besides music, saying that now Lyra is "more important" to him.
"I just found that I really didn't have a purpose outside of [music] because when I was giving myself fixed time of no work, I wasn't doing anything I enjoyed because I love doing music," Sheeran said.
"And [being a dad] has actually given me purpose and something in life that's actually more important than my job."
Ed and Cherry’s love story started off decades ago as the two were childhood sweethearts. They rekindled their romance in 2014 and tied the knot in a small ceremony five years later - confirming that Cherry is, in fact, Ed's forever love.
