World-renowned Canadian songstress, Celine Dion shared it’s been five years since her family lost their father and her husband, Rene Angelil. Rene was battling throat cancer and passed away on 14th January 2016, two days before his 74th birthday.
“René, it’s been 5 years already… There’s not one day that we don’t think about you,” the songstress starts off in her tribute post on socials, captioning a photo of their hands intertwining.
“We’re reaching out to you now more than ever, to guide us, protect us, and continue to watch over us. And we pray that you'll shine your love on the entire world, to all those at this very moment, who are facing incredibly difficult times. You are in our hearts and in our lives forever. We love you.”
The couple share three children together: Rene-Charles, 20 this month, and 10-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.
