Love was truly in the air recently as actors Marisa Abela and Jamie Bogyo tied the knot in a stunning ceremony held in East Sussex. The couple, who first met at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) back in 2019, have been inseparable ever since – and now, after six years together, they’ve officially said ‘I do’.
Marisa, best known for her role in the HBO series Industry and for her moving portrayal of Amy Winehouse in the biopic Back to Black, proudly carries her Maltese roots through her father Angelo Abela, who is of Maltese-Libyan and English descent.
In fact, ahead of the wedding, Marisa brought her bridal party to Malta for an unforgettable hen do. The group celebrated with Mdina’s gorgeous views and sun-soaked days by the sea – the perfect prelude to her big day.
On social media, Marisa shared some beautiful snaps of the ceremony and celebrations, showing the loved-up couple as happy as ever to be in each other’s arms and finally husband and wife, after six years together.
For the big day, Marisa stunned in a timeless Emilia Wickstead gown, a vision of elegance with her hair swept into a chic bun, adorned simply with a delicate line of jewels. Jamie looked equally dashing as the pair exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones.
