Beloved actor Robin Williams’ youngest son, Cody Williams, tied the knot with long-time love Maria Flores over the weekend, and the couple honoured Cody’s late father in the sweetest way.
They decided to exchange vows on what would have been Robin’s 68th birthday. Cody, 27, and Maria celebrated their nuptials at the home the actor and his ex-wife Marsha Garces Williams shared while raising their son and daughter, Zelda, 29. The Mrs Doubtfire actor had another son, Zachary, 36, who welcomed son Mickey with fiancée Olivia June in May.
The bride and groom included tributes to their late family members, including Robin, Maria’s late grandfather, her aunt, and Cody’s cousin, among others.
Cody’s older sister, Zelda, posted a sweet message to the couple on their wedding day. “I’m so grateful to have paid witness to your love over the years, to have watched you grow and care for each other in ways we should all be so lucky to experience.”
“You were already part of the family in my eyes, but now there’s an official slip of paper somewhere that agrees!” she says referencing her new sister-in-law. “Zak, Mom and I love you both dearly.”
