Last week, the youngest member (so far) of the royal family, Prince Louis, celebrated his first birthday with adorable portraits taken by his mother, Kate Middleton. Yesterday, it was his big sister’s turn to pose for a few cute shots.
Today is Princess Charlotte’s fourth birthday, and to ring in her big day, Duchess Kate photographed her at their country home in Norfolk. In one shot, the fourth in line to the throne poses in a floral blue dress with a peter pan collar, navy sneakers and a little blue bow in her hair.
The princess also posed for another shot, sitting atop a wooden fence, wearing a grey cardigan, a plaid skirt and tights, giving that coy smile to the camera that she’s already become so well known for.
But it was this third, candid photo that really seems to have captured Princess Charlotte’s fun personality, with a flower in her hand and a big, infectious smile.
In her few public outings, Princess Charlotte has perfected her royal wave, and is a pro in front of an audience, so it comes as no surprise that she is a natural in front of the camera. Who can forget the time she pulled her tongue out at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding?
Last year, the young royal shared the spotlight with her younger brother, Prince Louis, for her birthday photos. Kensington Palace released portraits of the first-time big sister holding her younger sibling, also taken by the Duchess, that melted hearts everywhere.
You can’t help but love this awesome family.
