Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting a girl! The royal couple revealed the news in the much-talked about tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that happened over the weekend.
“It’s a girl,” Harry shared. “To have a child, any one or two would be amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl, what more could you ask for? We have our family, we got the four of us and our dogs.”
Harry and Meghan shared that their baby girl is due in the summertime and they aren’t planning on having more children after she’s born.
The couple shared their pregnancy news of Valentine’s Day, just months after Meghan revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in summer in a New York Times op-ed towards the end of the year. Their daughter will be Prince Charles’ fifth grandchild and the Queen’s 10th great-grandchild.
Harry and Meghan revealed quite a few shocking things during the tell-all interview, including the fact that their big day wasn’t actually their wedding day. Meghan revealed that they tied the knot three days before their public wedding on 19th May 2018.
“Three days before our wedding, we got married. No one knows that but we called the [Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby] and we just said, ‘Look, this thing, this spectacle is for the world, but we want our union between us,” Meghan said. “The vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury. Just the three of us.”
“I think we were both really aware, even in advance of that, this, this wasn’t our day,” she said. “This was the day that was planned for the world.”
