Pink, a.k.a. Alecia Beth Moore, and husband Carey Hart are known for keeping it real when it comes to family and personal relationships, and have mastered the craft of focusing on what’s truly important without losing their love of fun and mischief.
This shines through in Carey’s Instagram tribute to Pink on her 40th birthday, where Carey hails his wife of 13 years as a source of inspiration.
“Welcome to 40 baby. I’ve celebrated 18 birthdays with you, and I can say it’s amazing growing up with you. The person you have grown into is inspiring,” he wrote. “I’m so proud of the woman you have become, and you are more beautiful than ever.”
“I love you baby. Looking forward to many many more birthdays with you. I can’t wait to see how nuts you and I are in our 80s. Enjoy your day.”
The pop superstar started dating motor-cross racer Carey Hart in 2001, when she asked him to marry her in true punk rock style at the end of a race, and the couple sealed the deal in a destination wedding in Costa Rica in 2006.
The marriage was not without its fair share of trials and tribulations, with the couple announcing their separation two years later. A number 1 hit break-up single ‘So What’ (and some couple therapy sessions) later, the couple reconciled, and they welcomed their firstborn, daughter Willow Sage in 2011. A son, Jameson Moon, followed in 2016 to complete the household.
