Pop sensation Justin Bieber proposed to model Hailey Baldwin on Saturday evening in the Bahamas while they were dining at a local restaurant.
Justin, 24, and Hailey, 21, previously dated before they split in 2016, and according to Hailey, “went through a long period of time when we weren’t friends.”
Justin famously dated singer Selena Gomez from 2010-12, and there were rumours that they were back on again in October 2017, having been papped together as recently as March. Meanwhile, Hailey was thought to be dating singer Shawn Mendes, whom she attended the Met Gala with in May.
But in the past few weeks since the old flames started up their romance again, sources report that Justin has been “very happy.”
“He has known Hailey for a long time,” a source told PEOPLE, which reported on this story. “This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”
Hailey's father, Stephen Baldwin, confirmed the news in a tweet, before quickly deleting it.
In his original tweet, the actor wrote: "Sweet smile on my face! me&wife (Kennya) Always pray 4 Gods will!! He is moving in the hearts of JB&HB. Let's all pray for His will to be done. Love you 2 so much!!! #Godstiming #bestisyettocome."
