Happy anniversary to these royals! The Queen’s eldest granddaughter and her rugby player hubby said ‘I do’ back in 2011, eight years after they first met in 2003. Yesterday, the royal couple celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t resist taking a look back at their big day.

Zara and Mike tied the knot at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland, which is a small venue by royal wedding standards, catering for about 400 guests. Zara’s mother, Princess Anne, also got married in Scotland for her second wedding to Sir Timothy Laurence.

On the day, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton were present. Kate and William had already walked down the aisle by then, just a few months before in April.

Zara wore a silk duchesse ivory gown designed by Stewart Parvin, which featured a drop waist and cathedral train. Her mother also loaned her the Meander Tiara for her special day.

Since then, the couple have welcomed two daughters together: Mia Grace, now five years old, and Lena Elizabeth last year.
