Instagram influencer, blogger and mama Melissa Gatt is currently 31 weeks pregnant with her twinnies, as she calls them. Mama to Savannah, Melissa shares her thoughts on suddenly becoming a mum of three and having a bigger family with husband Daniel.
“When I look at this photo, I feel like bursting with pride. Seeing all 5 of us in one photo, now knowing that our family is complete, makes my heart so happy!” Melissa Gatt shares in a post on Instagram today.
“After having Savannah, we were very confused about whether we would like another child or not. Deep down we knew we wanted to give her a sibling, and that we didn't want her to be an only child... but Savannah was a VERY bad sleeper for the first two and a half years of her life, and that really affected our decision,” she admitted, noting that they had to resort to consulting a sleep coach.
“As soon as she started sleeping through, we knew it was time to try for another baby. It all happened so fast, and we were overjoyed when finding out we were pregnant in December. 🤰🏼 I had my first doctor’s appointment in January, and to our SHOCK, the doctor told us we were having twins.”
“I was so shocked, and I was not excited about it at all. I was so scared, anxious and worried about having two babies, on top of having a toddler already. That feeling went away after a few weeks of getting used to the idea, and we now know this is how it was meant to be all along. I now find the idea of being a big family extremely exciting!”
However, she does share some raw thoughts about becoming a mother of three all of a sudden. “With this said, it's still very daunting to know that I will be responsible for two more babies, and everything that goes with it. I am trying my best not to overthink anything, and to just take each day as it comes. I am excited to share this journey with you all! So many of you have been such a great help to me, and I would like to thank you for that,” she concluded.
