It’s been an especially heartwarming day for local actor Antonella Galea Loffreda and her husband Joseph Galea, who are celebrating an incredible 26 years since they promised forever to one another.
Marking the occasion, Joseph shared a touching tribute to his wife – a message filled with love, gratitude, and the wisdom that comes from more than two decades of shared life.
‘Twenty-six years ago, we set off on a journey together that has brought us to where we are today. We’ve travelled roads that taught us how to grow side by side, support each other whenever needed, appreciate one another, and even argue when it was necessary. We made decisions together – even if they weren’t always the best ones – and we lived through life’s beautiful moments as well as the difficult ones. In short, just like anyone who chooses to build a relationship together. Nothing more, nothing less.’
He went on to share how it’s the simple, everyday memories that have meant the most:
‘Most likely, it’s the simplest moments that become the most beautiful, and we always tried to seek those out.’
Joseph also reflected on the life they’ve built: a life full of teamwork, family, and shared adventures.
‘Today, I’m grateful for everything we’ve built – for the teamwork in raising our children, for all our memories, and for every adventure we’ve been through. Thank you for opening a new chapter in our lives with me. A new year, with no way of knowing what it will bring. I look forward to facing whatever awaits us – new challenges, new milestones, and many beautiful memories we’ll never forget.’
