Following the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, heart-warming photos have been surfacing by official Instagram pages and members of the royal family, but this is possibly the sweetest one yet.
Posted by Instagram Page Kensington Royal, the photo features “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh surrounded by seven of their great-grandchildren at Balmoral Castle in 2018.” The sweet snapshot was captured by Kate, The Duchess of Cambridge.
On Friday 9th April, news spread around the world that Prince Philip had passed away. The announcement was shared by The Royal Family’s official pages saying that His Royal Highness “passed away peacefully” at Windsor Castle.
Prince Philip and the Queen were married for 73 years. At the time of his death, Prince Philip was just a few short months of becoming a centenarian and left behind four children, eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren (and one on the way).
