The Queen and Prince Philip were married for 73 years – a rare and precious milestone for any couple. Then-Princess Elizabeth was 21 years old while Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten was 26 when they got married on 20th November 1947 at Westminster Abbey. The couple went on to have four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
