Known for his macho film roles and rough-and-touch exterior, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson surprised everyone with this sweet and soft tribute to his new baby girl, Tiana Gia, as well as his girlfriend Lauren Hashian.
Johnson took to Instagram this week – in what has proven to be one popular week for celebrity births – to share his sentiments about watching his child being born.
“Blessed and proud to bring another strong girl into this world. Tiana Gia Johnson came into this world like a force of nature and Mama Lauren Hashian laboured and delivered like a true rock star,” he wrote.
“I was raised and surrounded by strong, loving women all my life, but after participating in baby Tia’s delivery, it’s hard to express the new level of love, respect and admiration I have for Lauren Hashian and all mamas and women out there.”
Johnson vowed to love, protect, guide and make his youngest daughter, Tiana, laugh for the rest of his life. “Your crazy dad has many responsibilities and wears many hats in this big ol’ world, but being your dad will always be the one I’m most proud to wear.”
The 45-year old father of three also had a few wise words to share with other men and fathers out there, encouraging them to be as supportive as can be during the process of child birth. “If you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer – watch your child being born. It’s a life changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman will forever be boundless.”
Tiana is Johnson’s second child with his long-time partner, Lauren, following the birth of Jasmine in 2015. He also has a 16-year old daughter, Simone Alexander, from a previous relationship.
