Neil Agius and his partner Lara have joyfully announced the arrival of their baby daughter, Ayla-Mae, born on the morning of 1st January 2026.
Sharing the news on social media, the couple revealed that their little girl arrived a bit earlier than expected, weighing 2.3 kg, and described her birth as ‘pure wonder’.
Reflecting on the journey leading up to her arrival, Neil and Lara spoke of an emotional rollercoaster that required patience, trust, and faith, tempered with quiet hope and anticipation. ‘Both Lara and Ayla are doing great,’ they shared, noting that they are now cherishing the stillness, love, and emotions of the first days of parenthood.
The couple also expressed heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and midwives at Mater Dei Hospital for their care and support during this special moment.
