Gianni Selvaggi and Tina Rizzo, two Maltese actors who have been together for the past 10 years, have gotten engaged just weeks before hitting the stage as Romeo and Juliet.
The two lovebirds will be taking on the titular roles of Romeo and Juliet between 21st and 26th June for WhatsTheirNames Theatre’s interpretation of this Shakespearean classic.
Gianni got on one knee and popped the question to Tina in a quaint Valletta street, where the two seem to share a lot of memories…
“Where it all began. How our weekend started... and how it ended”, Gianni captioned the engagement photo he posted on Instagram.
Tina couldn’t help but cover her mouth as she attempted to contain the excitement of being proposed to by her very own Romeo.
Gianni and Tina are now celebrating with family and friends alike as they continue to rehearse for their upcoming production of Shakespeare’s tragic love play.
