Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late ‘croc hunter’ Steve Irwin, has preserved memories from her wedding day in the best way: with a painting featuring her closest family, including her father.
Like countless other couples who faced the dilemma of postponing their wedding day due to the coronavirus pandemic, Bindi and her husband, Chandler Powell, decided to go ahead and tie the knot on 25th March 2020 with a pared-back wedding including only the bride’s mother and brother.
“My family. Our wedding day,” Bindi wrote on Instagram. “This artwork gave me happy tears. Thank you to ‘The Monkey Brush’ for creating such a beautiful piece, it means the world to me.”
The touching portrait features Bindi, her husband Chandler, her mother Terri and her brother Robert on the couple’s day, as well as her father at the centre of the painting, wearing his zoo uniform, just as everyone knew him.
