Today, maltese actress Pauline Spiteri Bugeja is celebrating 36 years since she tied the knot to her husband, Lawrence.
Just yesterday, the two also celebrated 41 years since they first met and started going out with each other.
To celebrate this momentous occasion Pauline, took to social media with some special advice to all couples on what makes a marriage a successful one.
“Many ask me what the secret is to a couple staying together, and I tell them that is there is no secret”, Pauline started her message.
“You have to enter marriage with a mentality that you have to be there for that person forever [...] Marriage is not for cowards, you have to have stamina”, she continued.
“As long as they’re not grave problems, everything can be solved. And above all, it is important to give space to each other so that person can feel content and free to a certain extent, not with a sledgehammer around his neck”.
“We love you very very much”, Pauline concluded.
“You’re the person who I can count on unconditionally. Without your unwavering love and support, I don’t think I’d be the person I am today. Happy anniversary”, Lawrence added on his social media.
The two have two children together, Yentl and Dylan.
