Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara
The Fringe Tiara which initially belonged to Queen Elizabeth’s mother was worn by Princess Anne on her wedding day to Mark Philips in 1973. Queen Elizabeth also worn this very tiara for her own wedding day and other royal events over the years.
Cartier Halo Tiara
Kate Middleton wore the queen’s Cartier Halo Tiara when she said ‘I do’ to Prince William in 2011. The tiara was originally made in 1936 and was owned by the Queen Mother who gifted it to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday. Princess Anne and Princess Margaret also wore this tiara for tours in New Zealand and Zanzibar respectively.
Meander Tiara
Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall donned the Meander Tiara for her wedding day. Interestingly, this was a wedding gift to Queen Elizabeth from her mother-in-law Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark however, she’s never worn it in public.
Five Aquamarine Tiara
Sophie, Countess of Wessex has worn this tiara numerous times, with one occasion pictured here being the royal wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden to Christopher O’Neill. She’s worn it so many times that many have assumed that her mother-in-law (Queen E) has permanently loaned it to her.
Greville Tiara
The Greville Tiara was actually made for a certain Mrs Greville who left all her jewellery to the Queen Mother. Elizabeth inherited the pieces when her mother passed away and it is now a favoured piece by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Ruby and Diamond Floral Bandeau Necklace
While she is a royal and owns a bunch of tiaras and crowns, Queen E also has a stellar necklace collection. This particular one is part of the Greville collection and was worn by the queen in her first years as a monarch. In 2017, Kate Middleton donned the necklace for a reception with the King and Queen of Spain.
Queen Mary Bandeau
As you’ve correctly guessed, the bandeau originally belonged to Queen Mary and was passed to Elizabeth after her death. Meghan Markle chose this tiara for her big day in 2018 when she married Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel.
Greville Emerald Tiara
Another stunner from the Greville collection. Princess Eugenie, who also got hitched in 2018 at St George’s Chapel, wore the gorgeous Emerald Tiara which complimented her open-backed wedding dress.
Pearl and Diamond Necklace
Queen Elizabeth loaned the stunning necklace to the Duchess in 2018 when she attended a banquet organised for the King and Queen of Netherlands.
Lover’s Knot Tiara
And finally, the iconic Lover’s Knot Tiara that became synonymous with Lady Di. Here she is photographed in 1989 in Hong Kong wearing the tiara that complimented her ‘Elvis look.’ The tiara was also donned by her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton in subsequent years.
