2020 was meant to be the year of weddings. Suppliers were booked, guests had a number of weddings in different months and brides and grooms were ready to celebrate their special day. But once COVID-19 hit, everything changed. A few months down the line, previous measures have been relaxed, but the one that has affected the wedding industry is still pending.

One nervous local messaged Health Minister Chris Fearne herself and shared his response with other worried brides and grooms-to-be on a local wedding Facebook page. “Mass gatherings are not allowed yet. For the moment I cannot predict what will be allowed in October. It all depends on the situation. We are taking it a day at a time. Thank you,” he responded on chat.

Brides and grooms-to-be are still hesitant about the whole thing. Some who postponed their earlier wedding to later this year have once again postponed to 2021, while others are still waiting it out.
