Bettina, one half of the Maltese band The New Victorians, shared an emotional announcement on social media on 2nd September 2025, welcoming the birth of her son, Vincent. Though the arrival didn’t take place in a delivery suite as planned, little Vince made a powerful entrance into the world, bringing joy and hope to his family.
In her heartfelt message, Bettina reflected on the meaning behind Vincent’s name: ‘Vincent. Conquerer. In a world that may at times feel dark, hopeless and unfair, love will always conquer. There is always hope. The source of victory will always be love. We pray you grow up to love as fiercely as you are loved.’
Bettina also expressed deep gratitude to the hospital team who assisted with the birth, praising their professionalism and kind spirits. ‘A young powerhouse of a team. We are truly blessed to be cared for by you, even in the most unlikely of situations,’ she wrote.
Her post included a touching biblical reflection from Romans 8:37-39: ‘…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us…neither death nor life, nor angels nor powers, nor things present nor to come…shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
