Wedding shoe trends for spring 2018

From traditional to wacky and everything in between, here the bridal shoe trends from the spring 2018 runways.

Bridal shoes on the spring 2018 ran the gamut as far as styles are concerned, and included something for everyone, whether you’re a classic bride or a bit of a rebel!

1. SANDALS & LACE SOCKS

Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig offered up a bridal collection that’s full of spunk, and the shoes were no exception. Opting for black feathered sandals, they teamed these with lace socks – inspired! And it looks great in more demure white too.

2. COLOUR POP

Fun-loving brides have been experimenting with pairing colourful shoes with their white dresses for some time now, and it appears to have caught on on a luxe level too. Designer Jenny Packham opted for red shoes AND dresses – but are you brave enough?

3. PASTEL TONES

Fair enough, you want to add a pop of colour to your bridal look without going all out – we feel you. The wrap-tied satin sandals presented in the Hannibal Laguna spring collection should be right up your alley, coming in a range of pretty pastel tones – we see a major trend developing.

4. PVC DETAILING

‘PVC, for a wedding?’ we hear you ask. Well yes, if they’re anything like these beauties by Oscar de la Renta, whose classic pumps were given an added oomph with PVC details.

5. BOOTIES

We are IN LOVE with the lace ankle booties displayed at the Naeem Khan bridal collection. If you’re looking for a modern take on bridal, particularly if you’re going for a shorter gown or are planning a fun little after-party outfit, these are for you, and the best part – there are a few more affordable lookalikes that won’t break the bank!
