A dad-of-two is being lauded across the world for starting a YouTube channel to impart practical "dadvice" for every day tasks to fatherless children.

In a Facebook post that has since gone viral, Chris Hart writes: "This YouTuber’s dad walked out on his family when he was 12 years old. Now that he’s a father of his own two adult children, he’s created a YouTube channel called “Dad, how do I?” where he posts videos of common tasks you might ask your dad for help with, so that children without fathers can use his videos as a resource."

Chris explains his connection to the YouTuber: "I don’t know this man, but he got an instant subscribe from me. What an amazing, selfless thing to do for someone else. It’s stories like these that give me hope for humanity."

His post has gone viral since it went up on Tuesday, with almost 600,000 shares at the time of writing. Sharing an update on the situation, Chris added a comment to his post saying: "Wow this blew up, thanks for all the shares! I’ve emailed him directly in hopes that he sees this post and can utilize this momentum to keep expanding his platform. From the time I posted this, he’s already doubled his subscribers on YouTube and I couldn’t be more happy for him!"

Indeed, the Dad, how do I? channel now has 1.1 million subscribers, with the account description reading: "I will do my best to provide useful , practical content to many basic tasks that everyone should know how to do."
