Danita Camilleri, mother to 8-month old son Lenny and the woman behind One Chick & a Yorkie, has shared some sage words about raising children in today’s world, ahead of a stressful time for many as they prep their kids for a return to school.
“The best school for children is the world around them. We are their best teacher for good manners and good behaviour,” she wrote.
“The best school isn’t always the educational kind, but the psychological kind; the kind where you learn to get along with everyone, where you learn to be interested in everything, and where you don’t ignore the opinions of others. Where you accept everyone for who they are,”
Although Danita’s tot is still young for traditional schooling, it’s clear that this Chick with a Yorkie is setting up her son with the right kind of attitude for life.
