Former Eurovision winner Richard Micallef shared the joyous news of the arrival of his son, Benjamin, last Sunday, with fiancée Raisa Piscopo.

“Benjamin is finally with us,” he wrote on Facebook. “What an amazing feeling. Your first cry was the best music to our ears. We would like to thank all the Mater Dei staff, every single person we dealt with was absolutely amazing. Both mummy and Ben are well. Thank you God for this miracle.”

Also known by his stage name Richard Edwards, the singer, songwriter and musician represented Malta in 2014 with his band Firelight, a group he founded together with his siblings.
