With many countries enforcing social distancing measures and others even total lockdowns for unknown lengths of time, to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, there’s high chance that several of our favourite royal and celebrity couples will be forced to make the most of the their upcoming wedding anniversaries in isolation. But when life gives you lemons? Make lemonade, of course!

1. Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Music’s King and Queen, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, will mark their 12th wedding anniversary on 4th April. Alongside daughter Blue Ivy, and twins Sir and Rumi, the couple will probably enjoy a close family celebration in their lavish Bel-Air mansion.

2. Marc Jacobs & Char DeFrancesco

The fashion designer and his husband of one year tied the knot with a lavish New York wedding on 6th April 2019. While the wedding included a slew of famous guests, including the Hadid sisters, Kate Moss and countless other models and celebs, this anniversary will probably be spent together indoors.

3. Prince Charles & Camilla

Prince Charles – who tested positive for COVID-19 but is no longer in self-isolation – and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will celebrate 15 years of marriage on 9th April. The couple tied the knot in 2005 and will likely enjoy a low-key celebration at their Scottish home, Birkhall, on the Balmoral estate.

4. Idris Elba & Sabrina Dhowre

The newlywed couple, who are both isolating at home after contracting coronavirus, looked sensational on their wedding day last year on 26th April. They got hitched in a star-studded and sensational ceremony in Morocco, which they’ll likely relive from the comfort of home this year.

5. Prince William & Kate Middleton

The next couple in line to the throne, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will mark their 9th wedding anniversary on 29th April. The pair tied the knot in 2011, with a lavish ceremony fit for the future king and queen of England, and have since welcomed three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who will probably be thrilled to celebrate with mum and dad.

6. Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson

Tom and Rita were among the first celebs to make the news for contracting the virus while the actor was working in Australia last month. They were hospitalised and have since recovered, and will undoubtedly be pleased to spend their 32nd wedding anniversary together with their family back home. The couple tied the knot on 30th April 1988.

7. Prince Harry & Meghan Markle

The former royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, tied the knot in one of the most highly anticipated royal weddings since Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s, on 19th May 2018. They’ve since welcomed baby Archie, and are currently busy setting up a new life in the US, which is where they’ll probably celebrate the special occasion.

8. Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick

SJP and her hubby made it official on 19th May 1997 with a surprise ceremony and reception in New York for their 100-something guests. The bride wore an iconic black dress for the wedding that made bridal fashion history – perhaps she’d consider bringing it out again for her 23rd wedding anniversary spent indoors?

9. Pippa Middleton & James Matthews

Pseudo-royals Pippa and James got hitched on 20th May 2017, in what closely resembled a stunning royal wedding. Kate Middleton’s younger sister has since had a child, Arthur, and they young family will likely enjoy their third wedding anniversary with each other.

10. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

On 24th May, 2014, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West said their I dos in true Kimye style, with a fairy tale wedding in Florence, Italy. The couple now share four children together – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm – and we’re pretty sure the Kardashian-Wests will create cool ways to celebrate their 6-year anniversary at home!
