Henrie, best-known for his depiction of Justin Russo on hit TV show Wizards of Waverly Place, is about to welcome his third child with his wife, Maria.
The two have been married since April 2017.
David and Maria’s two other children are James, who just turned one on Christmas Day, and two-year-old Pia.
"Maria and I were really racking our brains on what to get our son James for his first birthday…", David captioned a family photo on Instagram.
Soon after, he uploaded a story explaining the trauma he and his wife experienced after having five miscarriages.
"Christmas Day 2019, my wife suffered her fourth miscarriage and thought from then on that Christmas would be a day of mourning...however, God had other plans...on Christmas Day 2020 she gave birth naturally to my son James", he said.
"Now this past year she suffered yet another miscarriage, our fifth. I'm proud of her because she did what needed to be done to heal, and now we've been given another chance with our third child and we are hopefully clear of miscarriage danger", he continued.
David noted that “a lot of people don’t talk about miscarriages.”
“It’s real,” he said, “and it’s traumatising in ways you may not even be aware. Please reach out for help, and always know your little angels above you are smiling down upon you. ”
