Joseph had originally planned to propose to his then-girlfriend, Jade, during a desert trip to Morocco. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic came along before he could do so, so Joseph was forced to think up another, creative proposal.

For that very reason, Joseph settled for the ‘next best thing’ and popped the question on a boat, surrounded by friends and family. Poor Joseph got so excited when he went down on one knee that he couldn’t even open the ring’s box and ended up breaking it!

After this dramatic proposal, it was time for the wedding plans to commence. Jade and Joseph decided to plan everything out themselves with some help from a wedding planner.

This can, admittedly, get a bit of overwhelming, but the couple knew from the get-go that they wanted to have a creative and standout wedding, and nothing was going to stop them.

In fact, Jade and Joseph went for the brave choice of adopting a black theme for their wedding.

Everything from the wedding invites – skilfully adorned with skulls and roses – and the bridal car to the centrepieces and bouquet had touches of black. Having said that, nothing left as big of an impact as the four-tier black wedding cake, surrounded by a stunning glass gazebo.

guestbook

Instead of opting for your-run-of-the-mill guestbook, Jade and Joseph set up a huge, printed photo of themselves, which guests were invited to scribble on using a marker.

The couple’s influence could be felt in every inch of the wedding, especially since Jade, a practising florist, took hare of the flower arrangements herself. This was, admittedly, quite the task, but it all proved to be worth it in the end.

When it came to her wedding dress, Jade told OurWedding.mt that she wanted something “simple,” “plain,” and “comfortable to dance in”. Unfortunately, none of the dresses she tried on seemed to hit the spot, so her mother (who also happens to be a seamstress) came to the rescue and sewed her dress “exactly as [she] imagined it.”

Souvenirs are something every wedding guest looks forward to, but Jade and Joseph’s souvenirs had that little extra something that made them way more special.

Their souvenirs consisted of jars filled with condiments which, in turn, were decorated with a photo of Jade and Joseph’s dog and some text reading: “Thank you for celebrating my humans!”.  How cute is that?!

afterparty

We’re absolutely certain that Jade and Joseph’s wedding was full of incredible moments, however, for Joseph, none were as memorable as the moment he saw Jade walking down the aisle.

The two are an extremely fun couple, so you can rest assured that they made the most of their time on the dance floor!

“We opened the dance floor with rock and roll, stopped to cut the cake, and continued straight after, till the end. Our expectations were exceeded - we managed to do our dream wedding,” Jade and Joseph finished.

What an incredibly fun wedding it must have been!
