1. Simple and classic dresses
We’re stating the obvious here, but Meghan Markle has had a huge effect on bridal trends for 2019. Her simple and classic silk dress with an open boat neckline and three-quarter sleeves left fans in awe. Simple dresses like the Duchess’s are so chic, they’re probably here to stay for a while.
2. Halter necks
They’re back and ready to rock the bridal world! A halter neck dress is the perfect look for a bride who wants to show off her shoulders. The Duchess herself did the same for her reception dress, and everybody raved about the stunning look.
3. Blue dresses
Baby blue wedding dresses are in and we’re absolutely loving them. The light tone of a powder blue is extremely flattering and also an unexpected choice for a wedding dress, and hey, it could also double up as your something blue.
4. Metallic dresses
If you’re a daring woman by nature and want to reflect that aspect of your personality on your wedding day, then consider a metallic wedding dress, which is equal parts unusual, impressive and sexy.
5. Dresses with pockets
Wedding dresses with pockets continue to prove popular, and why shouldn’t they? They’ve got all the stunning traits of a wedding dress with an additional bonus feature that is chic and functional. Pockets will also ensure you can keep your little must-haves safely by your side (without anyone noticing) to grab at any point during your big day.
6. Multiple gowns
Italian fashion blogger, Chiara Ferragni, had not one or two, but three gowns for the night! And this seems to be a choice to consider for 2019. A wedding dress, a reception dress, and an after-party dress. Why not, right?
7. Coral
Coral, chosen as 2019’s Pantone colour of the year, is warm, peachy and perfect for a spring wedding. An unconventional bride may be willing to don a coral-hued gown for her wedding day, but if that’s too much, consider adding a coral touch to your bridal party’s look which will have them bang on trend.
